Market opens its 33rd season with pomp and Big Heads

The weather was chilly but bright as the 33rd edition of the Farmington Farmers Market opened its season on Saturday, May 2. The festivities began with the Farmington HS Marching Man leading the way. The color guard from Groves-Walker American Legion Post 346 carried in the flags, and the Harmony Town Chorus made it all official by singing the National Anthem.

Market manager Walt Gajewski helps ring the market bell with help from Jessica Westendorf, executive director of the Downtown Development Authority.
